Fur in London

Наткнулся на коммент в ru_uk где людей предупреждают о том, что в Лондоне на меха смотрят искоса и что меховую шубу могут облить краской. Меня такое дело поражает и сразу возникает два вопроса:

  1. Этот борец против меха, он что, постоянно ходит с банкой краски в кармане?
  2. А если он таки облил, то ему что, ничего за такое хулиганство не будет? Что, даже на пару недель улицы убирать не пошлют?

Ужос!

    I reckon this is pretty unlikely to happen to any individual fur coat wearer – there are sometimes demonstrators in front of the fur shops on or around Bond Street, and they like to throw a can or two of Dulux Red at the windows, but I doubt they’d go looking for random people to throw paint at. Except possibly celebrities.

    These activists are hypocrites if they don’t do the same to shoes – what’s fur but a cuddlier type of leather?
